Admissions Process

We are excited you are considering Summit School for your family. We know applying to a new school can feel overwhelming. Our Admissions Team at Summit School is here to help you navigate through the process. To get started, please follow the steps below.

Step One: Visit the School

Prospective families are warmly invited to schedule a personal campus tour. Visiting our campus offers a wonderful opportunity for you to experience the energy of our students, the dedication of our faculty and staff, and the joyful learning atmosphere that makes our community special. To schedule a tour, please contact the Admissions office at 480-403-9506 or book online.

Step Two: Submit Application

Apply online using the Apply Now button. Applying to Summit School is easy and our admissions team is available to help you through the process. Please note that there is a $100 non-refundable fee due upon completion of the online application and submission of an application does not guarantee a child’s acceptance.

Step Three: Submit Student Record Release Form to Current School

The Student Record Release Authorization should be signed and submitted to the applicant’s current school and/or previous school. Summit School requires at least two years of previous school records for each applicant.

Step Four: Student Visit

As part of the admissions process, all applicants are invited to experience a school day at Summit School. A visit day allows your child to learn more about our school culture, become familiar with teachers and students, and have an authentic experience with our Summit education. In some cases, a visit may be a requirement to ensure the best fit for your child. Once an application has been received, our admissions team will contact you to schedule assessments and offer a visit.

Age requirements

Teacher referrals

We require one teacher recommendation from the applicant’s current teacher or childcare provider for applicants applying to Preschool – Fifth Grade. For Middle School applicants, we require two teacher recommendations, one from the applicant’s current mathematics teacher and one from the applicant’s current English Language Arts teacher. When completing the online application, you will be prompted to insert the referral teacher’s name and email address. The online system will automatically email the teacher the recommendation form once you submit the application. You will receive a confirmation email once the teacher has completed and submitted the recommendation form to our Admissions Office. For assistance, please contact the Admissions Office at admissions@SummitSchoolAZ.org.
